Racketball (British)

At Smith College we play British Racketball, which is like American Racquetball, except it is played with a low-bounce ball, on a squash court, with squash-like rules.

It is the easiest of the racquet sports to learn, and can even be a great workout just hitting by yourself. There are racquets and balls at the equipment booth and a Recreational Play night on Wednesdays from 7-8:30 pm. at the Smith squash courts.

Here is a link to the current rules.  The U.S. game is a different animal, in case you end up in a place with only “American” Racquetball played on a 20 X 40 foot court, where the ceiling is in play! (Tim is a certified Racquetbal Coach with Racquetball Canada, and did a lot of mental training consultation with the Canadian National Team in the 80/s and 90’s.
