Smith College #1 for International Squash Players!

According to the latest “The Chronicle of Higher Education”, Smith College has the highest rate of growth in International Students of any of the squash-playing colleges in the United States!  Smith’s  rate of growth in the last year (20.1%) has far outstripped neighboring women’s colleges Mount Holyoke and Wellesley (more than double!) – as well as fellow MA colleges Williams and Amherst!

The Smith College Squash Team is happy to announce that Korea’s Sunwoo (Vivian) Lee has just been admitted “Early Decision to the College for the 2011-12 academic year! Vivian placed 3rd in the Seoul Regional team for High School Squash Division and also played varsity soccer for her school as well as being a first chair flutist in my school Band and participated in two big clubs: Speech and Debate along with Model United Nations.  Two former Smith #1’s and captains include fellow Koreans Patty Jang (’98) and Jean Lee (’03).  Vivian had a chance to chat with Smith College’s President Christ in her recent tour of Asia.
